“Rebuilding Identity” is led in two sessions, focussing on building an empowering identity after brain injury. We discuss social identity and the impact of brain injury on identity. We work in small groups to create “Identity Maps” for our desired identities. We discuss positive ways to express our identity and the need for our family, friends, and community to support our identity. A supported positive identity gives us critical motivation. Join us for this powerful and practical training!
Last year about this time, BEST paid a visit to GRuB Victory Farm and what a day it was! The sun was shining, the skies were bright blue and this innovative community garden project was nothing short of lush and breathtaking.
However, this garden is more than just a showcase for a stunning Pacific Northwest farm and garden.
The Victory Farmers program offer opportunities for veterans to transform their lives and provide nourishment and support to the community and those in need. The program empowers veterans, active duty servicemembers and their families to establish strong roots in community through continued service, peer-to-peer support and a deeper connection with the nature.

For BEST, it was a day of reflection and inspiration. Here’s a few of our favorite shots.
