A recent article in Psychology Today, shares the sobering and heartbreaking facts on individuals with traumatic brain injury and who are also homeless. This group is more prone to repeated emergency room visits, getting arrested and being assaulted. Read about the plight of this population HERE.
According to the Mayo Clinic, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is defined as, “a mental health condition that’s triggered by a terrifying event. Symptoms may include flashbacks, nightmares and severe anxiety, as well as uncontrollable thoughts about the event.”
